Our group was founded in 2010. Some of us have only recently become involved, others have been active for years - we are students, unemployed people, employees, freelancers, people with and without children.

We don't just want to criticize (but that too!), we want to get involved, we want to change. To this end, we have organized ourselves and hold regular meetings, events and campaigns. Since our founding, we have been organized together in the nationwide Interventionist Left [iL]. But after more than fourteen years in this structure, we have decided to take a new step. At the beginning of 2025, we are once again organizing under our original name "see red!". For us, this name still stands for a clear stance: We see red! We see red because the exploitation and injustice in the world is still intolerable.

Our work is based on mutual trust and on a basic consensus that we formulate step by step. And our common ground leaves room for different emphases and forms of action and also for different intensities of work. We know that different life situations require different forms of politics. We want to do justice to this together.

In recent years, many things have taken a turn for the worse: The threat of climate catastrophe, increasing impoverishment, armed conflicts and global struggles against authoritarian regimes are just some of the many issues that concern us. We conclude from this that the need to think and act radically (in the sense of addressing the causes of the problems) is greater today than ever before. And change starts with us, with those who are confronted with the effects of capitalism on a daily basis - in the factories, in the universities, in the neighborhoods, in the offices, in the struggles for a good life for all.

We have no interest in an inward-looking understanding of politics that is primarily legitimized by (sub-)cultural codes, exaggerates itself morally and takes place in closed bubbles such as the local AZ. Beyond that, however, we know that nothing will fundamentally change in this world until people stand up for their interests en masse. For us, the interests of those people who are affected by exploitation and oppression are important. We work together with various groups, parties and organizations, even if the consensus on content is initially limited to a campaign/action.

We believe that radical criticism of existing conditions can only be anchored in the long term through cooperation in political networks.

Our goal remains unchanged: a world without exploitation, oppression, war and climate catastrophe. This world is only possible if capitalism is overcome and society as a whole is fundamentally transformed. We want a world in which the needs of the many, not the profits of the few, are decisive. In which cooperation, not competition, is the guiding principle of coexistence. In which resources are not wasted destructively, but are used in a planned way for the benefit of people and nature. In which housing, health, education, care, etc. are no longer commodities. Many generations have fought for this goal, which they tried to realize under the name of socialism. We want to learn from their successes, but also from their mistakes, which ultimately caused them to fail almost everywhere.

From our point of view, there is no alternative on the way to this goal to a combination of, on the one hand, continuous small-scale work on the ground in the various local initiatives, in the workplace, university, (high) school, district, etc. and, on the other hand, the establishment of nationwide organizations of the radical left that network with other organizations worldwide.
