The Scandinavian Film Days Bonn is a student cultural group at the University of Bonn, which has set itself the task of bringing current Scandinavian and Finnish films to the Rhineland with their original soundtracks.

Founded in 1999 by committed students of Scandinavian studies, the Scandinavian Film Days are now organized by students from various disciplines working on a voluntary basis. The festival is supported by the Nordic embassies and a large number of sponsors, without whose financial help the organization of the event would not be possible.

Every year, the Scandinavian Film Days Bonn offer a diverse and exciting feature film program with current productions from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Greenland and Sápmi.

The film festival is rounded off by the popular short film evening, in which the Scandinavian Film Days collaborate with renowned film schools and thus also offer young filmmakers from Scandinavia an additional forum.

All films will be shown in their original dubbing with German or English subtitles (OmU/OmeU) in the Bonn Cinematheque.
