The Sparkassen-Kulturstiftung Rheinland is a supra-regional cultural foundation that was founded in 1987 on the initiative of the Rhineland savings banks. Based at the Rheinischer Sparkassen- und Giroverband (Rhineland Savings Banks Association), it supports outstanding art and cultural projects from Düsseldorf that are formative for cultural life in the Rhineland.

The Rhineland is rich in outstanding cultural projects and committed artists. This is a valuable asset that we want to strengthen and whose further development we want to promote. We support nationally significant art and cultural projects in the Rhineland with convincing and original concepts. The decisive factor for us is that these projects are formative and really touch the local people.

Who we support

We support art and cultural projects from all areas and disciplines. New ideas as well as classic projects, mediation work or performances. Funding is subject to certain conditions, such as non-profit status or support from the local savings bank.

In all our commitments, it is important to us that the projects make the local environment more culturally vibrant, create identity and have a lasting impact on the Rhineland cultural region.

What we wish for

Cultural life in the Rhineland is top-class, colorful and formative for the region at the same time. Numerous impulses with supra-regional significance for art and culture emanate from the Rhineland and many high-profile artists call the Rhineland their home. There is an above-average density of important cultural institutions here that is unparalleled in Germany.
