The city partnership between Hamburg and Dar es Salaam

In 2010, the two port cities of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania and Hamburg in Germany entered into a town twinning agreement. The agreement was signed between the two cities and promotes cooperation between the cities and their people from civil society and covers all areas of life.

Both cities joined hands totacklethechallenges of the two metropolitan areastogether.They agreed to learn from each other in order to better serve the people in their cities. They also want to tackle the major challenges that we all face together in this world.
