WELCOME TO THE STADTMUSEUM.

Medieval vaulted cellars and contemporary art, thousand-year-old ceramics and clay workshops for children, palm trees, crocodiles and Siegburg Abbey, witch trials and fairytale operas, smartphones, ink and goose feathers: all this and much more can be discovered here.

Our permanent exhibition brings the history of Siegburg to life. Did you know, for example, that luxurious pottery from Siegburg was on display at the courts of European princes? Or that palm trees grew here and crocodiles lived here?

We also show various exhibitions of contemporary art every year. There are also regular events - from classical music to cabaret.

Our guided tours and courses offer exciting insights into a wide range of topics. And with projects such as the children's art school, our museum suitcases or the vacations in the museum, children and young people become local historians, archaeologists and artists.
