Neighbors visit neighbors in the region and create an opportunity to get to know each other better.

The initiative aims to help improve cooperation between the two federal states of Berlin and Brandenburg - for the benefit of both countries. With our work, we want to initiate the most efficient, meaningful cooperation possible in the region and strengthen existing partnerships. The framework is provided by the "metropolitan region" format established throughout Europe. This is intended to give the region a common identity that is effective both internally and externally.

The book "Nachbarn bei Nachbarn - Ein Sonntagebuch Berlin-Brandenburger Begegnungen" (Neighbors with Neighbors - A Sunday Journal of Berlin-Brandenburg Encounters) is the result of these diverse encounters and represents a wonderful kaleidoscope of experiences from 2013 to 2016. Very different authors have described their impressions. It is a selection of texts by those who visited and those who were visited.
