At Theater Apropos, people with and without mental illness perform theater under professional direction. The groups are led by theater professionals with extensive experience in all areas of the theater business.
The focus is on the joint selection and development of the plays, in which all participants can develop and contribute their creative potential. Regular group and individual rehearsals and workshops are held as required.
The goal of our work is public performances.
Important to know: Theater Apropos is not a group therapy program; rather, the stage is understood as a therapy-free space and the focus is on artistic work.
For us, inclusion means
- Everyone belongs naturally and naturally
- Everyone can participate regardless of gender, age, origin, education or disability
- Accessibility: Reduction of external and self-stigmatization due to mental impairments, i.e. counteracting any form of discrimination against people with a mental illness
- Inclusion as a constant process of discussion and learning in order to understand each other better
Diversity is wonderful, important and an enrichment for society as a whole. So let's be different together, learn from each other and enjoy theater!
