An international theater festival organized and curated by students of the Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding in Munich!

The international student theater festival UWE is entering its sixth round! Over three festival days, we will be showing productions from all over Europe. Beyond the boundaries of language or genre, the stages of the academy theater offer space for everything that moves the next generation of theater makers. With its extensive supporting program, UWE also offers a platform for exchange and networking.

In this year's edition, we will explore the peripheral in theater and provide a stage for topics that are pushed to the margins of social and political discourse. In a world of increasing uncertainty and dwindling resources, the UWE:festival is looking for theatrical forms for the future. From the rewriting of familiar material to the exploration of new performative forms of expression - the festival contributions show how the theater is venturing into the unknown and conquering new spaces.
