The non-profit association EL-DE-Haus, founded in 1988, is the support association of the NS Documentation Center of the City of Cologne. It has set itself the task of actively supporting the NS-DOK and developing its own projects to come to terms with the Nazi era in Cologne.

The association is non-partisan and sees itself as a focal point and forum for all those who take a critical look at National Socialism and its effects up to the present day. It takes a stand on current problems such as xenophobia, anti-Semitism and right-wing extremism in Cologne. The EL-DE House Association supports the NS Documentation Center in a variety of ways.

For example, it raises funds for extensive, but also many smaller projects from various donors, thus enabling the implementation of numerous ideas. It also actively supports the content-related work of the NS-DOK, takes initiatives to come to terms with the Nazi era in Cologne and takes an independent political stance. It networks with schools, history workshops and anti-fascist committed people, initiatives and associations, such as the Cologne Society for Christian-Jewish Cooperation, the Cologne Synagogue Community and the VVN-BdA Cologne, and also participates in events outside the EL-DE House.
