waslangewert is a place where the appreciation for the preservation of things can be experienced. We celebrate the creation, preservation and transformation of objects into something valuable. The space was created out of a desire to sharpen the focus on existing objects: For materials and works that are often overlooked, even though they carry time, care and history within them.

We invite you to come together, exchange ideas and join in. It's about a conscious approach to what surrounds us and the joy of craftsmanship and design.

We believe that value is created when you take the time to preserve.

This attitude is reflected throughout the entire space - in the exhibition, in the store and in joint workshops.

The exhibition

The exhibition shows objects that have been preserved, repaired or altered. It tells of targeted interventions - and of how things can change through use. It shows that it is worth taking a closer look at what already exists.

The store

The store contains selected products that reflect our attitude. Objects that impress with their materials, workmanship and ideas and are designed to last.

The workshops

The workshops form the active core of waslangewert. They invite you to become active yourself, try out new things and discover or deepen your own skills.

They are all about craftsmanship, creative thinking and sharing knowledge. Methods, tools and perspectives that help you understand things - and become active yourself. The workshops are open to everyone. Previous knowledge is not essential, but curiosity is.
