International Women's Day 2020 has united us: people who had the goal of bringing important topics related to this date to as many other people as possible under the name and motto "We Won't Shut Up!", inviting them to exchange ideas and celebrate together.
Topics such as the lack of equal rights for women*, raising awareness and making discrimination and intersections of discrimination between gender and class, nationality, sexual identity and orientation, women's rights and LGBTQIA+ issues, medical topics have been on the agenda ever since with completely free admission in panels, discussion rounds, interviews and workshops as well as concerts, DJ sets, performances, readings and exhibitions by predominantly Munich women*.
The positive response that follows each new festival edition gives us as the "We Won't Shut Up!" collective the confirmation time and again that we have created something together that has become an integral part of our city on this important date!

International Women's Day 2020 has united us: a group of people who wanted to raise awareness for important issues surrounding this date, invite people to exchange ideas and celebrate together under the name and with the motto "We Won't Shut Up!".
Topics such as the lack of equal rights for women+, raising awareness and highlighting discrimination and discrimination intersections of gender and class, nationality, sexual identity and orientation, women's rights and LGBTQIA+ issues, medical topics have been on the festival agenda ever since with panels, roundtable discussions, interviews and workshops as well as concerts, DJ sets, performances, lectures and exhibitions by predominantly Munich women+, with all events being completely free of charge.
To us as the "We Won't Shut Up!" collective, the positive response that follows each new festival edition confirms time and again that we have created something together that has become an essential part of our city on this important date!
