The German Osteoporosis Self-Help Association, the largest German patient organization, has been organizing patient congresses since October 2000 to mark World Osteoporosis Day. The event takes place in a different German city every year. It gives those affected the opportunity to attend presentations on the latest scientific findings, treatment guidelines, reimbursement by health insurance companies and much more, and to benefit from the exchange of experiences with others. Osteoporosis patients can also discuss individual questions with experts. Participation in the congress is possible without registration and is free of charge.
