We are delighted to have Westwind 2025, the festival of theaters for young audiences NRW, in Düsseldorf! Westwind is one of the most renowned theater festivals for young audiences in Germany and is hosted by a different NRW theater every year. Ten outstanding NRW productions can be seen in the competition, as well as international guest performances from Korea, Belgium, Norway and the Czech Republic/Kenya and three plays from the host theaters. The supporting program has the motto "Arts for Change" and presents, among other things, the groundbreaking study "Spark Change: The Impact of Performing Arts on Children" from New York on the effect of performing arts on children. The Westwind Festival invites Düsseldorf's urban community to a street festival on Sunday, June 1 from 2 to 6 pm: Between KAP1, FFT, Central and tanzhaus nrw there will be open-air theater, music, performances to watch and participate in, spray action, artist:innen, workshops, upcycling crafts (not only for children), chill areas - all for free and outside.
