The Neukölln Coordination Office for Environmental Education has existed since the end of 2019 and is located on the beautiful Tempelhofer Feld. It is based at Freilandlabor Britz e.V. and works on behalf of the Neukölln District Office, Department of Environment and Nature and the Senate Department for Environment, Mobility, Consumer and Climate Protection.

The Coordination Office for Environmental Education Neukölln was set up to:

• make environmental education and education for sustainable development (ESD) more visible in the district
• network, advise, support and facilitate exchange
• network individual stakeholders with each other and with those looking for offers, highlight opportunities to get involved in the district
• work with educational stakeholders and institutions in the district to establish and further develop an educational landscape for environmental education.

We have developed a mission statement and specific goals for our work in Neukölln and are building on the educational mission statement for a green and sustainable Berlin of the Senate Department for the Environment, Mobility, Consumer and Climate Protection of the State of Berlin.
