Founded in 2022 by Sofia von Freydorf, the Young Artists Festival Bonn brings young musicians together in Bonn in the summer. A series of chamber music concerts takes the audience to three special concert spaces: the auditorium of the Kunstmuseum Bonn, the chamber music hall of the Beethoven-Haus and the Trinitatiskirche in Endenich.

Under the motto "Metamorphoses", the 2025 festival is dedicated to musical transformations: the change of epochs, the reinterpretation of well-known works - such as Beethoven's "Kreutzer Sonata" - and the chamber music condensation in Shostakovich's chamber music works.

The festival creates a new meeting place in Beethoven's home town and sets a new accent: young people organize, make music and create.

The passion for music is passed on to young listeners from various schools in Bonn as part of an education program.

The instruments are presented at school concerts and pupils are introduced to individual works.
