Around 130,000 travelers pass through Duisburg Central Station every day - a place of constant movement, transitions and encounters. Since August 2024, a new space for contemporary art has been created in the middle of this dynamic: "Zentralstation", one of the showcases in the main station, which has developed into a freely accessible exhibition window for artistic positions. The exhibition cycle was initiated and curated by the artists Robert Schörken and Juri Nitzling. Their aim is to make art visible in places where people do not expect it - in the middle of daily transit.

Zentralstation is sponsored by the Cultural Office of the City of Duisburg.
