Zusammenkunst

In the page's words:

Hi, I'm Melissa, the founder of Zusammenkunst :-)

For me, crafting has always been so much more than just a hobby. It’s a little break from everyday life, some phone-free time, creating something with my own hands—and just getting to be a kid again for a little while.

Through my events, I want to bring together people who are eager to get creative together—without any pressure, perfectionism, or prior experience. As adults, it’s often not so easy to meet new people or consciously set aside time for ourselves. Zusammenkunst combines both: creative breaks and genuine connections.

Our events take place in cozy cafés and unique venues throughout Hamburg. Each event has a new theme and invites participants to try out different DIY techniques. Whether it’s making beaded flowers, linocut printing, seasonal craft projects, or other creative workshops, every gathering offers space to experiment, share ideas, and create together.

It’s not about taking home the perfect piece of art. What’s much more important is the time spent together, getting to know new people, and the joy of creating something with your own hands. Many people come to our events alone and go home with new friends, inspiration, and a smile.

Zusammenkunst aims to become an open, welcoming creative community that meets regularly in Hamburg. I hope to create a place where everyone is welcome, whether they’re experienced in the arts or complete beginners. A place where you feel at ease, discover new ideas, and share wonderful moments together.

If you’re in the mood to get creative, meet new people, and treat yourself to a relaxing break from everyday life, I look forward to welcoming you to one of our upcoming Zusammenkunst events.

By the way: “Zusammenkunst”actually grew out of a desire to travel. So if you’re in the mood for a slightly longer event, feel free to check this out:
