In the artist's words:

"Founded in Berlin in 2021, the band Das Beat combines the sounds of German new wave, dark disco, indie and dance. Their sound is unified by the vocals of Eddie Rabenberger, who sings in both German and English. Between the playful lyrics lies a strong dance pulse (The "Beat"), which emphasizes the meandering atmosphere, the dreamy synths, guitars and percussion of the duo.

Dj Kirby (Blue Hawaii), moved from Montreal to Berlin in 2018. Eddie is a performer originally from a small town in southern Germany. Together they find a seductive symbiosis - like Giorgio Moroder on Nico or Gina X Performance on The Prodigy."
