Formed in the youth clubs of London, Ezra Collective—Femi Koleoso (drums), TJ Koleoso (bass), Joe Armon-Jones (keys), James Mollison (saxophone), and Ife Ogunjobi (trumpet), have become one of the most celebrated and groundbreaking bands in British music. Since emerging with *Chapter 7* in 2016, the group has redefined what modern jazz can sound and feel like, blending Afrobeat, reggae, salsa, grime, and hip-hop into a joyful, communal sound that is entirely their own. Following the success of 2022’s Mercury Prize-winning *Where I’m Meant To Be* and 2024’s *Dance, No One’s Watching*—which led to a headline show at Wembley Arena and a historic BRIT Award win for Group of the Year—the band returns with *Here Because Of Hope*. Conceived in three movements tracing the journey from West Africa to the Caribbean to the UK, the album explores migration, diaspora, and resilience through music rooted in hope, rhythm, and celebration.
