FENSTERZURSTADT is a cooperative of professional theater companies based in Hanover. In addition to productions in public spaces, thematically oriented projects and productions in children's and youth theater, collaborations with other cultural organizations are an important part of fensterzurstadt's profile. FENSTERZURSTADT's more than 40 productions and projects have been awarded numerous cultural prizes and invited to national and international guest performances.

Since the end of 2022, a store in Hanover-Linden has been the project office and base station where the group has already been able to realize individual art acts and plan their projects in the urban space.
