FRANK MEYER works for stage, radio, TV and book publishers. Training: pantomime, acting, voice; studied philosophy, literature, linguistics and theater studies. Started as a radio play narrator, was a member of the Cologne pantomime theater Kefka (Milan Sládek) for 11 years, co-director of the International Juggler Festival, lecturer at the Folkwang Hochschule Essen. Tours in Germany, 9 European countries, Hong Kong and Japan. Film, television and radio work for ARD broadcasters, DLF, ZDF and BBC (including Ohrenweide, UFO, WDR series; report for an academy of Kafka, 3sat). Readings by many authors, e.g. for the Haus der Literatur Bonn, LitCologne). Books and audio books (e.g. by and about Hermann Harry Schmitz: Grotesken, WDR/Audiobuch, and Die schönsten Katastrophen, Emons, together with Konrad Beikircher).

Particularly well known for his unusual, scenically lively cabaret readings ("DichtDenkDeutsch", "Im Namen des Hasen", "Heute werden wir nicht alt", "Endlich! oder Der Ferienmensch", "Zimtsternhagelvoll", "SaTIERisch MENSCHlich", "Hitler fand's zum Schießen - Kabarett unterm Hakenkreuz", "Mord kann tödlich sein", "Leselüste", "Theater? Mockery on!", "Far? From where? - Cabaret in exile" and others). Received the Cologne Theater Prize with the TAS ensemble for "Das Fest" and the German Literature Theater Prize for his solo play "Verzeihen Sie, ich bin eine Stricknadel!".
