Kanemaki-Chor
In the artist's words:
The Kanemaki Choir was founded in 1992 following a concert tour to Japan with singers from various choirs led by Kazuo Kanemaki. Around 30 active members cultivate and expand a broad spectrum of classical German and international choral literature, as well as folk songs and compositions from musicals and pop music.
Under the motto "Music connects people - countries - peoples", the choir is committed to contributing to international understanding through international encounters. This has already resulted in friendly contacts with Japan, Belarus, Taiwan and St. Petersburg.
The Kanemaki Choir has been able to intensify its friendships - especially with the Far East - on trips abroad through many joint concerts with local choirs. In return, its concerts are enriched by the participation of foreign choirs and/or orchestras who come to Hamburg on return visits.
New singers are always welcome! The choir rehearses on Mondays from 6:30 to 9 pm.
