In its hundred-year history, the Leipzig University Choir has dedicated itself to challenging choral literature and contemporary music from its very beginnings. In addition to its passionate engagement with the works of Johann Sebastian Bach and lively historical performance practice, the choir has also taken part in staged and concert opera productions and regularly performs great choral symphonic works of the 19th century as well as jazz literature. Invitations to concert tours at home and abroad, e.g. to Spain, Latvia and Israel, as well as awards from renowned institutions such as the Echo Klassik, testify to the choir's artistic quality.
