A warm welcome to you!

My name is Maja Das Gupta, I am an author for theater and radio plays, I work both as a theater pedagogue and as a dramaturge and have been producing and directing my own plays in Munich since 2019. Since then, we have performed "Lillys Bus", "Auf die Straße!", "Elias Revolution" and "Kerims Nase" at Munich venues and in schools as well as designing an OEZ app walk, which has since been taken by numerous schools (free of charge - 90 minutes - perhaps also interesting for your hiking day / a company outing if you work at a school / in a company?)

In March 2024, projects curated by Sandra Chatterjee and myself will take place over three days at Giesinger Kulturbahnhof and Pathos am Leonrodplatz as part of #sieinspiriertmich - some of our own works will also be included, in excerpts. One event is explicitly aimed at teenagers / young adults, excerpts from a reading for a young audience (24.3.24 at 11.00 a.m. Pathos opens its doors and the installation can be visited, the reading then starts a little later).

The reading is an excerpt from a text that is currently being written, "Becoming Madeleine". It will be read by Mira Mazumdar. If you would like to know in advance what we do for young audiences: The Süddeutsche Zeitung reported on us on the occasion of the premiere of "Kerim's Nose", which was made possible by special production funding from the City of Munich, In May 2023, my plays"Lilly's Bus" and "Kerim's Nose" were presented in the ItI reading room .

Since 2023, we have had three-year funding from the City of Munich to further expand the structure of our "Junges Theater" - we are currently looking for cooperation schools for which we can offer special formats. We have also been a member of Assitej since 2023.
