Marsha Richarz

In the artist's words:

Marsha Richarz is an author, performance poet, workshop leader, and host who lives in Leipzig. She has been performing on stages across the country since 2011, presenting works about life, feminism, body image, and washcloths. In doing so, she manages to weave politically relevant topics humorously, charmingly, and satirically into observations and situations from everyday life. As a safety spokesperson, Marsha hosts major festivals such as “Lollapalooza Berlin,” panel discussions, and the monthly “Westslam” at the Neues Schauspiel. She writes commissioned texts for ministries, political conferences, and organizations promoting democracy, among others. She is a member of the Leipzig reading stage Schkeuditzer Kreuz, a board member of Livelyrix e.V., and politically active. In March 2026, her essay on local politics was published in the “Feminist Voices” series by the Leipzig-based publisher Palomaa Publishing.
