In the artist's words:

MDW are the brothers Finn and Lasse Barth from Hamburg. Their music is characterized by a dark, danceable sound that oscillates between indie and post-punk and tears down the walls of convention. Lyrics about fantasies, longings and loneliness, accompanied by synthesizer sounds, big drums and crashing guitar sounds. Founded at the end of 2023, the duo has already released several self-produced singles and is currently working on their debut EP. In addition to classics from the 80s such as Depeche Mode and Falco, more modern influences such as Boy Harshers and Nine Inch Nails can also be found in their sound, creating a bridge between past and present.
