Moabiter Kammerchor

In the artist's words:

The Moabit Chamber Choir of the Protestant parish of Tiergarten in Berlin has been in existence since 2024 and enthusiastically sings sacred music at a sophisticated level in church services and concerts. Choral works from all eras, from the Renaissance to contemporary choral music and gospel, jazz & pop are part of the program. The diversity of the choirs in the parish allows for interesting networking: in December 2026, for example, Bach's Christmas Oratorio will be performed both as a classical concert and as a nativity play with children's and youth choir participation.

Almut Stümke is the cantor of the Tiergarten Protestant parish and conducts the children's, youth and chamber choirs, as well as bringing together children and other parishioners to sing.

She is also the regional singing director of the EKBO regional church and is therefore responsible for advising and providing further training for choir leaders and other church staff, as well as promoting singing with children and the congregation.
