Motown Theater

In the artist's words:

Founded in 2003 by Roland Kalweit as a purely touring theater, the Motown Theater has now been entertaining a steadily growing fan base on German and international stages with its guest productions for over 20 years.

In addition to its own drama and reader's theater productions, it has also produced several co-productions with other ensembles - the music revue "Rock Around The Clock - The Bill Haley Story" with guest performances at St. Albans Hall London, the Tempodrom Berlin, the Metropol Theater Vienna or the Deutsches Theater in Munich is certainly one of the absolute highlights.

However, the Motown crime productions under the CrimeTime label, in which the theater is dedicated to the great detectives of literary history - from Sherlock Holmes and Miss Marple to Hercule Poirot and the Edgar Wallace detectives - have achieved particular cult status.
