Jakob Schwald (*1996) , also known by the synonym "OPTIK", is an illustrator, designer and visual artist from Cologne. He describes himself as a playful and intuitive artist who tries to make the beauty of the world more tangible. His expressive works are expressive and strike a balance between abstraction and concrete forms. He experiments passionately with compositions and colors and creates figurative drawings as well as oil paintings and cover art works.

Between realism and infantile expression, Optik is always in search of making feelings visible and sharing his passionate perspective with the outside world.
