Pudlax

In the artist's words:

The new trio Pudlax combines modern jazz with free improvisation. The members have been playing together as a rhythm section in various projects for a long time, from which a trio was finally formed whose music combines sophisticated composition with spontaneous communication between the musicians.

At the center of the trio is the sibling duo Klára Pudláková (Avokaduo, 2in2out, Uthando, Molotov Moloch, Maomah) and Jan Pudlák (Uthando, Empyrean Sextet, Crescent Quartet), who are joined by drummer Jakub Švejnar (Jungle Debris, Uthando, KIN).

In 2023, the trio recorded its first album "11mg", which contains ten original compositions by Jan Pudlák and one piece by Klára Pudláková. The pieces on the album are the result of several years of searching for a new kind of musical expression that plays with elements of the absurd - on the one hand humorous and playful, on the other characterized by serious depth and complex structures.
