RADIO VORSTADT plays radio rock. This means that we are not fixed to one genre. The music and lyrics originated in the mid-80s, influenced by bands such as BAP, Extrabreit, THE Cure, THE Jam, THE Clash, Fischer Z ...

After a stage break of almost 40 years, the Vorstadt Gang is back.

RV presents mainly (really good) German lyrics from the hand of the now deceased frontman Dirk Weiß.
There are also covers to be heard. Sometimes with their own German lyrics or their own interpretation approach and never with the claim to come close to the original.
There are currently 24 songs in the program, including 5 covers (Joe Jackson, Bob Seeger, Springsteen, Kinks and Stones)
Rehearsals take place once a week in the rehearsal room in Bochum-Weitmar, which was already used in the 80s. However, the neighbors have changed
