Siegfried Weischenberg

Dr. Siegfried Weischenberg, born in 1948, studied sociology, history and journalism at the Ruhr University in Bochum, where he also completed his doctorate. After a traineeship, he worked as an editor and was honorary chairman of the German Journalists' Association (DJV).
He taught for many years as a professor of communication science and journalism in Germany and abroad.
His research and numerous book publications focus on the theory and practice of journalism, systems theory and constructivism, political communication, Max Weber's media sociology and the history of journalism.
