Sound. Word. Stories.
The artistic work of our ensemble is based on these three pillars. With our music, we create a sound that is authentic and lively, based on historically informed performance practice and yet free, because we neither can nor want to ignore the times in which we live.
What all our programs have in common is that we read texts between the pieces of music. These words transport the audience in a different way into the worlds whose doors we have opened with the music. In terms of content, they form a counterpoint to the often foreign-language lyrics.
We tell stories with music and lyrics, sound and words: Soulful, wondrous, amusing, contemplative stories that make time stand still for an evening.

Our ensemble name is a neologism made up of "breath" and "sospirare", which means "to sigh". Our original line-up, with two recorders and vocals, was based in particular on breath. We wanted to express this perpetual up and down, in and out, combined with the emotionality of a grieving, relieved or surprised sigh. sigh we wanted to give expression to.
