Spätkauf from Berlin makes German pop music - honest, emotional and pleasantly raw.

What once began as a small acoustic project in the surroundings of the Hans-Otto-Theater in Potsdam is now a band that has found its sound between Berlin city moments and personal stories.

Philipp Mauritz (vocals, piano), Martin Völkel (guitar), Stefan Schwabe (bass, vocals) and Janusz Malejewski (drums) bring different musical backgrounds and life experiences to the table - and form a collective sound that is immediate and authentic.

The songs of Spätkauf tell - with German lyrics - of encounters, turning points and these quiet and loud moments. Sometimes powerful and rocking, sometimes melodic and catchy.

At concerts, Spätkauf show a wide range, the music takes the audience with them. With lots of energy and rock guitar on the big stage, but also purely acoustically - at intimate unplugged gigs - the songs and their stories inspire people to sing along and reflect.

After "Cuba Libre" (2017) and "Lass alles los" (2023), Spätkauf is currently working on its first album with a band line-up.
