SQUAT BOX - an explosive three-piece band from Munich, who fight their way through the hectic world with their energetic, dreamy sound and leave everyday life behind. Their music combines ripping guitar riffs, driving bass and dynamic drums to create a dark, powerful mix that is both wild and hypnotic. The band was founded in 2021 by Marius (bass) and Stephen (vocals/guitar) in a small, abandoned rehearsal room under the streets of Munich - the "Box", from which the band name is derived. With the first demos and a drum machine in the "Box", the first 8 tracks were created and released in 2021. In 2023, Thesi joined the band as a drummer and with her pure energy brought an explosive dynamic that charged SQUAT BOX even more. Their music cannot be pigeonholed into one genre - experimental post-punk, grunge and alternative merge into a unique sound that pushes musical boundaries while maintaining a rebellious attitude. SQUAT BOX is more than just music - it's an outlet for frustration, anger and rebellion, with a dash of melancholy and depth that adds an unexpected dimension to each song. Their tracks are an outcry that simultaneously provokes thought and takes the listener on a wild trip through the chaotic corners of this world.
