The Rhubarbs

The Rhubarbs are a Bonn-based women's barbershop choir with 25 singers who bring four-part a cappella music to the stage with lots of energy, precision and visible joy.

The focus is on the typical barbershop sound: tight voices, dense harmonies and that special, almost floating sound that is created when everything fits together perfectly. At the same time, the Rhubarbs do not stop at the classical repertoire: In addition to traditional barbershop pieces, pop and rock songs are also part of the program - often presented in their own surprising arrangements and with a twinkle in their eye.

On stage, the choir combines musical quality with a lively presence and a good dose of self-irony. Between the songs, short, humorous moderations provide insights into the inner life of a choir community that is as diverse as it is passionate.

In 2026, The Rhubarbs will be celebrating their 20th anniversary - a special occasion to share the choir's development and the joy of singing together with the audience.
