Village Voices

In the artist's words:

The Village Voices are

• a Berlin vocal ensemble, based at the Leo Borchard Music School, Berlin-Zehlendorf
• long-standing 1st prize winner/state winner (1993 - 2009) at the Berlin Choir Competition in the jazz/pop/gospel category
• Participant in numerous - also international - festivals and competitions.

Highlights of recent years for the Village Voices have included concerts in Germany and participation in international festivals in Austria, Sweden, Turkey, Poland and Denmark as well as backing choirs for Michael Bolton (ICC Berlin) and Celine Dion (Waldbühne Berlin) and the Rumpelstil flashlight concert (Waldbühne Berlin).

Working with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under Claudio Abbado and Wynton Marsalis and his Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra were also great experiences. We were also honored to be involved in the artistic design of the "Berlin Oscar Night" - presented by Moet & Chandon - for the German theater scene.
