In the artist's words:

Are we still waiting for the future or are we already running after ourselves? Are we lost in space or in between places?

YUUN (formerly ZULU) from Würzburg pose these complex questions with their wavy dream pop. They experiment passionately with analogue synthesizers, chasing guitar signals, small children's keyboards, Japanese harps and everything else they can get their hands on through countless small effect pedals or distorting samples beyond recognition.

Somewhere between analog nostalgia and transhumanist fantasies, they explore where the thin line lies in the middle, where the gray areas are and whether we as a society can still stand it when the answer is sometimes somewhere between yes and no. The result is songs somewhere on the edge of pop with thoughtful lyrics and a complex overall sound, but which never forget to be catchy.
