Italian shopping in Munich

At Schwabing's "Oi Marì", a small delicatessen in Georgenstraße, you can not only get really good food and drinks, but also pretty ceramics. Another reason why we always like to stop by here: If you want, you can get something straight to your hand. So if, like us, you are spontaneously surprised by hunger, then you should definitely take the Sorrento-style saltimbocca with you, a kind of roll made from pizza dough that you can enjoy filled in a variety of ways. Super tasty!

L'Oca Bianca also offers Italian delicacies, more precisely Venetian delicacies. The store's specialty is refined Venetian appetizers called cicchetti - but even if you "only" want to stop by to shop and not to eat and drink (because this is a great place to enjoy an aperitivo or two), it's definitely worth a visit. Whether it's fresh tiramisu, vacuum-packed lasagne to take home, buffalo mozzarella, truffle pasta or good cheese - you're guaranteed to find what you need for a really good evening!

Of course, the Viktualienmarkt has high-quality food as far as the eye can see. But one stall that we particularly like in this respect is Marina Bröckelt's: since opening her stall "Marinas Cucina" in 1987, she has made it her mission to bring the finest Italian food and the associated dolce vita flair to Munich's Viktualienmarkt. And we think she has succeeded in doing just that: You can get insanely good sandwiches here, for example the "Trüffelsau" with lots of truffle pesto or the "Auf die Faust" sandwich with gorgonzola dulce, walnut, rosemary ham, rocket and fig mustard. Mmmmhh....

"A journey through Italy in 145 square meters - in the middle of the Bavarian metropolis": this is how the "Alimentari da Graciela" in Nymphenburgerstraße describes itself. And this journey is not only meant in culinary terms. In owner Graciela's store, it's really not too much to say that all the senses are stimulated here, as unusual as it is here: half delicatessen, half creative and colorful event location, you can not only shop well here, but also hold cooking classes with expert Graciela or book the store for a special evening with friends. And you can even order online - the store offers various boxes with the finest Italian food.

The selection of Italian delicatessens in Schwabing is quite large anyway. However, we can particularly recommend one of them near Kurfürstenplatz: At "Vini e Panini", great importance is placed on quality, as all suppliers are characterized by traditional cultivation and preparation methods. You can buy really fine coffee, olive oil, sensationally delicious homemade pasta and a good selection of cold meats and cheeses as well as - as the name suggests - wine. If you get hungry right away, you can eat on the spot, as owner Andrea prepares a fresh, typical Tuscan dish every day at "Vini e Panini". Buon appetito!

Attention truffle lovers: If you want to treat yourself to the expensive mushroom for a special meal, then you should definitely stop by "Pippo's Natur-Feinkost" in the Westend. Pippo always has high-quality truffles on offer, which he sources directly from his truffle hunters, as well as various products with truffles (oil, butter, cheese, ham and even honey!). There's also a selection of sausages, homemade pasta, special cheeses and wine - everything you would look for in an Italian delicatessen. Haidhausen also has numerous good addresses for Italian delicacies - for example the delicatessen "L'angolino Cucina & Vinoteca" in Wörthstraße. With Santa and Francesco as owners, Sicily meets Apenin and with it the local specialties that the two bring together in their store. Cheese, salami and ham as well as all kinds of goodies from the antipasti display case - anyone looking for Italian delicacies will find what they are looking for here. But it's not just a store - you can also eat pizza, try antipasti or enjoy a tiramisu on the spot.

In Sendling you can shop like in Italy - at Superissimo in Brudermühlstraße you can get all the Italian food that a dolce vita heart desires. Even though Superissimo is less of a delicatessen and much more of a (very large) supermarket, there is also a fresh food counter where you can stock up on antipasti, homemade gnocchi, stracciatella di bufala (the cheese, not the ice cream) and many other fine things. The perfect place to go for a bulk Italian purchase!
