Network meeting on international puppet and object theater for the very youngest
for independent and institutional artists, educators and teachers
As part of KUCKUCK - Theaterfestival für Anfänge(r)

Sticks become swords, sand is cooked from sand and the shoe becomes a dog. What is everyday life in kindergarten becomes an aesthetic experience on stage. Playing with objects and figures accompanies the work as a teacher, artist and cultural mediator.

With the pilot project "1-2-3 FIGURENgarten", the GFP and the Münchner Stadtmuseum are now creating a meeting space to exchange ideas and get to know each other as part of the KUCKUCK theater festival.

Are you a freelance theater maker and want to develop a play in kindergarten?
We'll bring you together!

We invite you to a network meeting and workshop on March 16, 2026. The program begins with a joint visit to the performance "The Fabulous Story of BasarKus". Afterwards, Charlotte Müller (cultural mediator), Helene Schmitt (puppeteer) and Katharina Mayrhofer (director for young audiences) will offer a space for encounters, exchange about opportunities and hurdles and give an insight into best practice examples. We are also delighted that Jennifer Zick and Melanie Pilawski (Department of Education and Sport) and Katharina Mayrhofer will provide insights into the challenges and opportunities of collaboration between theater professionals and daycare centers. In addition, Simone Lindner will present the cultural mediation network "Play Act Connect" and give an impulse on the conditions for successful cooperation between theater professionals and institutions.

When purchasing tickets, you can choose between the categories "Educator", "Artist" and "Cultural mediator". Please book the category that suits you best. Tickets in each category cost 15 euros and include a visit to the theater and a small snack. If the right category is no longer available, please send us an email to figurentheater-gfp@muenchen.de - we will find a suitable solution!

Please note: The booking is binding and cannot be canceled, but the ticket can be transferred to another person if necessary.
