10. Internationales Jugendmusikfestival CHINA INN - Abschlusskonzert mit 100 Schülern aus Shanghai
In the organizer's words:
Since 2013, the CHINA INN Festival has been one of the most important German-Chinese youth music festivals in Hamburg. Following a successful run of festivals through 2019 and a brief hiatus, the festival was revived in 2024 and will mark its 10th edition in 2026—coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the city partnership between Hamburg and Shanghai.
Around 100 children and teenagers from Shanghai travel to Hamburg to rehearse and perform together with Hamburg’s youth orchestras and choirs. The focus is on musical exchange, cultural encounters, and collaborative artistic work.
The closing concert in the Grand Hall of the Laeiszhalle will be the festival’s highlight: a concert filled with young voices, international sounds—such as the Chinese guzheng—and the vibrant friendship between Hamburg and Shanghai.
The participating ensembles will present the results of their intensive collaboration—a diverse and inspiring program that brings the energy and creativity of this special encounter to the stage:
