Special exhibition to mark the anniversary of the first projection planetarium with unique exhibits, spectacular images and a mobile planetarium with star shows.
"100 years of heaven on earth: On October 21, 1923, the world's first public demonstration of a projection planetarium took place in Munich - in the Deutsches Museum (still under construction at the time). The anniversary is being celebrated on Museum Island with a major special exhibition. Unique exhibits, from 16th century astrolabes to celestial globes and armillary spheres, await visitors in the entrance hall from May 5. Four large star projectors will also be on display - including, of course, the original Zeiss Model I, which started it all. There are also regular demonstrations of the starry sky over Munich under a ten-meter dome."
The schedule is published every day at around 9:20 a.m. on the website and in the museum app.
