Another cabaret summit at the Pantheon!
Line-up:
Tobias Mann (host)
Philip Simon
Barbara Ruscher
Lennart Schilgen
Tobias Mann is a tireless wanderer between the worlds of cabaret and comedy, a punchline blaster, verbal sprinter, fun rocker, nonsense bard and WDR's secret humor weapon. And also winner of the 2017 German Cabaret Award and the Prix Pantheon.
Philip Simon makes the cabaret podcast "Grundlos gute Laune" together with Tobias Mann.
The two satirists regularly tackle the hot air of public discourse. It is therefore fair to say that they are launching the first true crime podcast for verbal crimes.
Sounds devastating? Nope - there's always a reason to be in a good mood.
In his last program "Meisenhorst", Prix Pantheon winner Philip Simon demonstrated that there is more dynamite in the Basic Law than progression in German minds. Just in time for the 70th anniversary of the State Bible, Philip Simon took a look at the Basic Law and discovered that the tits have taken control.
Barbara Ruscher is unbelievably romantic. But somehow nobody notices. The award-winning comedian, known from TV ("NUHR im Ersten", "Ladies Night" etc.) and radio (WDR2/WDR5), pleads for more good feelings in life. Whether as a couple at home ("Relationships are like a walk in the park. Jurassic Park") or on the road in a converted VW bus ("Most romantic sentence: 'Give me the fourteen'")- the right communication helps.
Barbara Ruscher explores for you what it's like to stop drinking alcohol ("I just want to have a hobby all to myself"), tests the eroticism of hot air fryers and leaf blowers, can even take a lot of positives from the menopause and raps convincingly about e-bikes ("21 gears, cool battery in the linkage"). Because nobody else does that. Look forward to great entertainment, comedy deluxe! With stand-up and banging songs, it will be satirically biting and above all one thing: incredibly funny!
"You go along with joy on his double bottoms, you rejoice inwardly at the many ideas and rhymes [...] Wonderfully light, surprisingly unelaborate and highly imaginative songs."
From the laudation for the German Chanson Prize for Young Artists
When he's not giving concerts and winning cabaret awards (Prix Pantheon, Stuttgarter Besen, etc.), he does one thing above all: he gets away. Among other things, he goes on a bike tour, to a monastery and to a communist summer camp. Or just into the depths of his thoughts, which is often adventurous enough.
Fortunately, Schilgen leads us safely over every abyss - carried by his accomplished piano and guitar playing, his voice and his "alert mind, with heart and humor and sly punchlines" (laudatory speech for the 'Tuttlinger Krähe').
