As the highlight of the festive year, the museum cordially invites its friends and guests to celebrate together on the festive weekend May 25 + 26, 2024 !

PROGRAM:
SATURDAY, MAY 25, 1 PM - 2 PM

• Short guided tours through permanent and special exhibitions
• Museum director Dr. Olaf Thormann in conversation with restorer, publisher and collector Prof. Jochen Voigt about his extensive donation
• Individual mid-century pieces at the "Design zu haben" Friends' sales campaign
• Live music with the Leipzig band "Kardamom Kollektiv"
• Poetry slam
• Graphic recording
• Dance into the evening with THE GREAT GRASSI and music from the 1920s to 1940s

SUNDAY, May 26, 1-6 p.m.

• Artisan trail in the courtyards with stone sculptors, blacksmiths, glassblowers, drawing school, potter's wheel and much more.
• "Timestamps" - six interactive time stations spanning 150 years provide insights into particularly important stages in the development of art and crafts since the museum was founded
• Short guided tours through permanent and special exhibitions

The FabMobil will also be a guest on both days, inviting visitors to marvel at and try out creative technologies such as 3D printing, virtual reality, robotics and programming.
