Exhibition and discussion series on the future of technology and art

We have one year left - then artificial intelligence will take over the world and wipe out humanity. At least that's what five American AI experts warned of in their scenario "AI 2027", which caused a worldwide stir. But is this apocalypse really inevitable?

The first episode of the new 1E9 x Digital Stage series explores the future of artificial intelligence - and therefore our own. Together with artists, researchers and entrepreneurs, we examine whether the debate initiated in Silicon Valley about a superintelligence that will either destroy or redeem us is not obscuring the real issues - because the world has indeed become messy thanks to AI.

What do creativity and authorship mean when machines (co-)design? How is the value of human labor changing as a result of AI? What hopes and fears are justified in the face of real AI? What is hype or scaremongering? How do we want to live together with AI?

Artists, researchers and makers come together here to negotiate the future - with vernissages, talks and music. Each event combines artistic work with exchange and reflection, opening up space for new perspectives between laboratory, discourse and club.

The Digital Stage is another place for aesthetic, social and technical experiments at the PATHOS theater. At the interface of theater, performance and new media, hybrid formats are created here that combine analog and digital spaces in new ways.

1E9 is a community for future optimists from the worlds of tech, science, art and society. With journalism and events - above all the Festival of the Future with the Deutsches Museum - 1E9 creates a platform for thinking and shaping the future together.
