Symphony Concerto No. 2
PETER EÖTVÖS (1944-2024): Dialogue with Mozart
WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART (1756-1791): Symphony in D major K. 504 ("Prague Symphony")
ANTONÍN DVOŘÁK (1841-1904): Symphony No. 7 in D minor op. 70
Eötvös devotes himself to a large number of Mozart fragments: "Sometimes I asked Mozart a question and he answered me, sometimes it went the other way around. I didn't try to adapt Mozart's style, but sometimes his music". Mozart's "Prague Symphony" was composed in the period between "Figaro" and "Don Giovanni". Special feature: it has no minuet!
Let's stay in Prague - although Dvorˇák wrote his 7th Symphony for London - with high expectations: "Everywhere I think of nothing but my new work, which must have the power to move the whole world!"
