Am 7. Mai 2021 veröffentlichen Night Beats - die aus Texas stammende Band von Danny Lee Blackwell - ihr fünftes Album "Outlaw R&B" über Fuzz Club Records. Das Album folgt auf die 2019 erschienene "Myth of A Man"-LP (produziert von Dan Auerbach von The Black Keys und veröffentlicht von Heavenly Recordings) sowie auf die letztjährige "That's All You Got"-7". Auf dem Höhepunkt der Waldbrände in Kalifornien (wo Blackwell derzeit wohnt), Aufständen auf den Straßen und einer Nation im Ausnahmezustand, ist der raue Technicolour-Rock'n'Roll von "Outlaw R&B" ein Aufruf, sich an einem dringend benötigten post-apokalyptischen Hedonismus zu erfreuen.
