40. Bremer Karneval: EINHEIZEN

Friday, February 21, 2025: HEATING IN
The kick-off to the 40th and final Bremen Carnival in the form of Einheizen starts on Friday. 25 selected samba and percussion groups will perform in various locations in the heart of Bremen and play 30-minute concerts on a total of four stages in the Lila Eule, Markthalle 8 and the Lagerhaus cultural center. Tickets for the concerts can be purchased in advance via the Bremen Carnival website or at the Box Office in the Lagerhaus cultural center.

Free admission to the street carnival on the afternoon of 22.02.2025. Donations to support the Bremen Carnival are welcome and urgently needed, on site in our donation box or via our donation account.

Experience the colorful and unique Bremen Carnival one last time! For the 40th and final time, Bremen will be transformed into a colorful festival full of samba, masks and joie de vivre. Under the motto "Uns blüht was", over 80 groups from different countries will showcase their art - from rousing samba rhythms and imaginative masquerades to acrobatics, dance and street theater. Be inspired by bright colors, rousing sounds and inspiring messages. An opening ceremony on the market square, a parade from there to the Sielwall and much more are planned. There are currently not enough funds to realize the carnival, so the team is dependent on donations.

The challenges for the volunteer team have increased significantly in recent years - higher costs, more bureaucracy and the need for a comprehensive digital reorganization exceed the capacities of the small team. After 39 years of passion and commitment, the organizers are therefore letting go of the carnival.
