Hardly any other place fascinates and inspires as much as the soccer stadium. Who would know that better than the people of Dortmund? The Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra wants to bring the magic of the stadium into the concert hall - because even among composers there were passionate soccer fans. One of them: Dmitri Shostakovich, who even had a coaching license. In his ballet The Golden Age (1929/30), a soccer team is even at the center of the action! And which work can't be missing when it comes to soccer around Dortmund? "You'll Never Walk Alone," of course. A special highlight of the concert: Borussia icon Norbert "Nobby" Dickel will lead through the concert as host.
