92. ZEIT Forum Wissenschaft: Wer soll das alles bezahlen?

While some even benefit financially from the current crises, many in society have to tighten their belts. To counter this injustice, we need to rethink our financial system. Whether it is the climate catastrophe, inflation or pandemics, dealing with all these challenges of the 21st century costs a lot of money. A realignment of our social contract to distribute these financial burdens is unavoidable.

The central questions at the 92nd ZEIT Science Forum are: Who exactly will bear the financial burden of these changes? Can we manage these crises while ensuring greater financial justice? Is there a way to find harmony between taxes, subsidies and solidarity? Can we manage to narrow the gap between rich and poor?

Ralf Krauter, Editor of "Forschung aktuell", Deutschlandfunk, and Andreas Sentker, Managing Editor and Head of the Knowledge Department, DIE ZEIT, will discuss these and other questions with experts and discuss practical approaches.
